When you have non relational data - e.g. Metadata from GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud storage ...), this can easily be streamed to either DataStore or BigTable.

For large volume of data -e .g temperature data, sensor data - all of these can be streamed (via IoT Core) to BigTable.
